Used ExAnimation

The below is a breakdown of the ExAnimation used by the baserom. Each item is categorized by where they are applied, either Global or Level.

Global ExAnimation

These ExAnimation slots are active in every level, most of them with a destination in BG3, and will override any static graphics sharing that destination.

If you need to, you can disable global animations in individual levels from the menu: "Level → Edit Animation Settings" and uncheck "Enable Lunar Magic's global animations".


Syncing ExAnimation

Despite how it may look in Lunar Magic, different sets of animated objects in the vanilla game are on different animation frames, so if you were looking to sync up ExAnimation with those objects (e.g. an ExAnimation sideways muncher with a vanilla muncher) it is worth bearing in mind those different timings.

Below is a table that shows which Lunar Magic ExAnimation slots sync up with which Vanilla objects, and their tile/location in VRAM (which you can see in the 8x8 selector). Most of these appear in FG1 unless otherwise specified.
